Gina Long is a British contemporary artist, charity campaigner and fundraiser, and internationally respected entrepreneur. In 2015, having raised over £9 million for good causes, Gina was awarded an MBE to honour her tireless dedication to raising both money and awareness for charity.

In a career that spans four decades of advocacy, entrepreneurship, and creative leadership, Gina has always dared to put her head above the parapet, speaking up where others might stay silent, and standing firm for what she believes.

In 2020 Ed Sheeran donated one of his own paintings to Gina’s campaign for a new playground at the Thomas Wolsey special school in Ipswich. For Gina, it reignited her passion for art. She discovered a powerful language in paint, one that allowed her to fully express the emotional truths and fierce honesty she has always championed.

Square Peg Round Hole is her first major series: a body of work born of deep observation and bold vulnerability. It reflects a lifetime of connecting the dots for other people, and now following them back to herself. 

This project speaks to anyone who has ever felt out of place or overlooked, and celebrates showing up as yourself, despite the pressure not to.

Each canvas is original, using bespoke stencils and layered high-gloss acrylics. No two are the same. While Square Peg Round Hole wasn’t created as a charity project, giving back remains important to Gina’s ethos: hence a percentage of each sale of every painting will be donated to charities she supports.

Gina describes Square Peg Round Hole as an honest extension of everything she stands for—a life that has rarely fitted neatly.
